Pulling Harness for our dog in Vancouver BC?
We can't seem to find a proper pulling harness for our husky here in Vancouver, anyone know where we can get one?
I've been looking online endlessly, to no no avail...
What kind of Pulling is your Husky going to be doing?
If you plan mostly on Walking, Running, Bike Riding, Skijoring, or the likes, you will only truly need a basic Adjustable Harness.
If you wish to have your Husky pulling a Sled however, or going forth on more arduous Running Adventures which require a Lower Pulling Angle, you can try an X-Back or Y-Back, the choice of which rests on what your dog prefers, your experience, and their escape ability. For either of these you might need a Belly strap if your dog is a regular Houdini (As is mine ;-D )
If you plan on having your Husky pull Weights, or Heavy Cargo Loads (Which by all accounts it should be a Heavily Built Freight Husky, not a Racing One), then an H-Back Harness will be well suited for such.
I have an Alaskan Husky, and so far I have only found it necessary for her to use an Adjustable Harness with a Clicking Connector, and D-Ring.
I will recommend this site however, as I am about to purchase from them as well. They have the best Hybrid between an everyday Adjustable Harness, and a Sled Pulling Configuration, including a Third Belly Strap to prevent the dog from "Pulling Out".
